Swiftspin!

We recently sent four helmets to a company called Swiftspin in Bristol who photographed the helmets and created these great 360 degree views!

Lewis Hamilton Monaco 2010 helmet

Lewis asked for a new design for this weekends' Monaco Grand Prix, so we designed this new scheme with a special Casino theme. The top features a roulette wheel with a pair of dice on the back, and a variation on the side red bands. These pictures were taken before the shell was sent back to Japan for assembly, and we'll post some pictures of the completed helmet once we get some.

Monaco & Indy special designs

This month will be busy with several special designs being painted for the Monaco F1 GP and the Indy 500 race. Lewis Hamilton will be wearing a new design for Monaco with a Casino theme, and special Indy designs are being painted for Dan Wheldon, Ernesto Viso, and Takuma Sato who is having a commemorative design commisioned by Lotus to celebrate their return to the Indy 500.

I'll be flying over for the Indy 500 race but there's a lot of paintwork to complete before then!

New Arai Iridium Visors

We have just taken delivery of genuine Arai iridium visors for the CK6, SK6, GP6s and GP6 models. They are in limited supply and available in red/gold, silver, blue and blue/green. They are available from our shop here.

Busy start to the race season

The pre-season is always a busy time of year but this year has been especially hectic. 3 new F1 drivers (Karun Chandhok, Paul Di Resta and Fairuz Fauzy) as well as lots of other new drivers has meant some long working hours and not many days off. It's been hard work and difficult to keep up but we're starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel!

Autosport Show/Ginetta Awards

The Autosport Show was held last week at the Birmimgham NEC and we had helmets on show with several companies including a display on the Arai stand. It was a great showcase for our paintwork and a chance to meet friends, customers and some of Arai's drivers.

On Friday night some of the helmets were taken over to the Metropole Hotel where we had been invited to display some helmets at the Ginetta Cars awards night. A charity raffle in aid of Teenage Cancer was held after the presentation, so we donated a voucher for paintwork which was sold for an amazing £900!
